Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
FlowPath is a custom visual that runs inside Microsoft Power BI. This policy describes how it handles data.
We do not collect your data
FlowPath does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no usage tracking of any kind.
Your data stays in Power BI
Everything the visual does happens locally, inside the Power BI report, in your browser or in Power BI Desktop. The visual reads the fields you bind to it in order to draw the map, and that data is never sent anywhere. It is not written to disk, not retained after the report closes, and not accessible to us.
No network connections
FlowPath makes no network requests at runtime. It does not fetch map tiles, does not call a geocoding service, and does not contact any server operated by us or by a third party. All map geometry is bundled inside the visual itself. This is a requirement of Microsoft's certification program for Power BI visuals, and it is verified mechanically on every build.
Because there are no network calls, no cookies are set and no browser storage is used.
Licensing
If you purchase a license, the transaction is handled entirely by Microsoft through AppSource and Power BI. The visual asks Power BI whether a license is active and receives only that answer. We do not receive, process, or store your payment details or your identity, and the visual has no way to identify you.
Third-party data included in the visual
FlowPath bundles public-domain geographic data — country, state, county and lake boundaries and populated-place names from Natural Earth, and United States boundaries derived from US Census TIGER data. These are static files compiled into the visual. They involve no service, no request, and no transfer of your information.
Children's privacy
FlowPath is a business intelligence tool and is not directed at children. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a revised date. Because the visual collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
