Terms of use
FlowPath by Friven is licensed under the Standard Contract for Microsoft's commercial marketplace. We publish no separate terms of our own, and no amendments to it.
That contract is between you and Friven Solutions as the publisher. Microsoft provides the template and handles the transaction, but is not itself a party to the agreement.
What that means in practice
The contract is the authority. This is a plain-language pointer to the parts people ask about most, and nothing here adds to or varies it.
- What you get. A license to use the visual, not the visual itself. A paid license unlocks the features listed in the user guide; the free features stay free.
- Billing. Microsoft invoices and charges you under the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace Terms of Use. We never see your payment details, and purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds all go through Microsoft rather than us.
- Your data. The visual runs entirely inside your report and sends nothing anywhere. See the privacy policy.
- Which law applies. Yours. In the United States and Canada, the state or province you are in; elsewhere, the country you acquired it in.
- Liability. Capped, and capped lower for free offerings than for paid ones. Section 8 of the contract sets out the figures.
Bundled map data
The visual includes third-party map data under its own licenses, one of which requires attribution. Those licenses govern that data independently of the contract above, and are set out in the user guide.
